You must improve your posture and work toward the ideal posture if every cell will have the chance to communicate with every other cell. If you have been injured for a long time or had bad posture for a long time, you will need to start doing the very simple core strengthening spinal corrective exercises that Dr. Mayfield will recommend to begin restoring your spine back to a healthy state.
He will rub out soft tissue trauma and injuries that keep you from achieving correct posture, strength and flexibility.

Dr. Mayfield recommends a habit of forcefully breathing out from your lower abdomen. The more forcefully you breathe out, the more forcefully your body breathes back in. Breathing in is passive.
Breathing abdominally give you the courage to live your plans and splendid dreams. When you breathe shallow, courage fades into the background and fear steps forward. Then you are more aware of the obstacles than the potentials of your life.
Dr. Mayfield is orientated toward holistic models of health, while still holding on to the understandings he obtained from 13 college courses in medical physiology and 14 courses in pathology. He utilizes the "Five Elements" of classical Chinese physiology as a way to understand how the imbalances in your body directly affect your mind and emotions. These understandings allow him to "track" the ways that you got out of harmony in your thoughts, feelings and beliefs.
